New Bugs 02:44
Well I'm feeling like I ain't good at dealing With my old ways, my old ways When I'm sleeping, see a black screen and thinking My dreams are blank, dreams are blank My old ways, lovely sleep I'm alright, little lights never de-stress me When I see a pretty girl up and leaving I oh là là, oh là là
2.
Country Sun 03:15
Way out in the country where We lost our northern blues We live in the movies and The sun sets on cue I'm in love, it's not enough The filter on your frame The dancing days in our own place I know you feel the same I'm near a life that jangles through the night I swing the doors out, welcoming the country sun The barren lands where we hold hands The silence when we think I'm not hung up but if I hang You know my favorite drink I'm in love with nothing but The silence when we think Living life on the range It's always almost gone
3.
Golden Days 01:28
Nothing comforts me but something in my tea And I can't really sleep Every time I drink I rock myself to sleep Oooooooo OooooOOooooo Oooooooo Golden days It always comforts me Watching my TV

about

Here's a collection of golden oldies and oldy goldies.

After taking a step back, I sorta realized the production of "New Bugs" is that scene from "Batman" (1989). You know the one--Jack Nicholson is dancing around the art museum, bumping Prince, and painting over Renaissance pieces. Everything was gaudy Joker pop art. Well, it seems, I got a little manic with those ruby lips.

"Country Sun" and "Golden Days" are both ambiguous country nostalgia. The former, a nicely proportioned snapshot or an unrealistic goal--you can't live in a catalog, though you may want to. The latter is more like a bumpkin's fond incoherence.

These were written between 2013 and 2014. They haven't seen the light because I had other shit to do.
